The competition will begin at 8:00 p.m. on July 24 at the Main Theater of Burgos after a brief opening gala with the presence and greeting of authorities, director and president of the jury.

​

The 25 will continue with the second semifinal at the same time

On the 26th it will proceed to the final with the works selected from day 24 to 25

​

The organization will decide the order of each gala.

​

All choreographers will have the same time of rehearsals and a lighting plan they will receive in advance

Urban Dance

The competition will be held in 2 days, divided participants in two galas, the third day (closing gala and awards) will dance only the choreography that choose cash prize.

​

The Principal Theater of Burgos has all the required equipment: black dance floor, video projector, cycloramas ...

​

The contest hosts the contestants in residence with full board. It also offers assistance to the choreographer for trips

​

The Urban Dance competition focuses on scenic creations that use urban dance languages, which include all kinds of hip hop styles, from old school, such as popping, locking, animation, ... to the new style, hype, krump , commercial dance, house, wacking, voguing, ... and also the bboying or breaking, as well as the new fusions with other current languages.

​

The renewal and promotion of urban dances is promoted by creating a space where artists can present their creations and investigate from urban dances, while serving as a gateway to the circuits of the performing arts.

A maximum of 4 choreographies will be selected, which will compete to qualify for the 2 prize prizes in the contest, and other prizes that consist of participation in tours, functions, selection for other festivals or artistic residencies, for works with a single dancer, two dancers or groups, indistinctly. This selection will be made through the film material sent by the participants. The works must not exceed 10 minutes, those that exceed these limits will be disqualified.

The maximum number of dancers per choreography will be 8. Minors must be accompanied by their parents or guardian with the corresponding parental permission.

The participation of this contest implies the acceptance of these bases and the general bases

The winning choreographer of this 2019 edition must be present at the winning choreography gala on Saturday July 27 at the Roman Ruins of the Clunia Theater, along with the other winners of the different categories. The economic conditions of this gala will be agreed with the organization of the Bu- Ny Contest.
