ABOUT THE COMPETITION

Choreographers can be inspired by this reading belonging to Xavier Úcar Martínez, tenured professor of Social Pedagogy. Autonomous University of Barcelona

“The journey is only a kind of metaphorical journey, an outer symbol of an inner march on reality.

Our happiest discoveries are always accidental by-products of searching for something we never find.

Show a space for personal and social learning, a formative, vital and experiential itinerary, which can lead us not only to explore the lands and idiosyncrasies of our country, but, above all, to discover or rediscover our own internal geography.

In the first tour we can learn, enjoy or suffer the immense natural and cultural wealth of the towns, landscapes and people that we will meet. In the second, it will be our own limits and possibilities - in the form of fears, anxieties, weaknesses, desires, qualities and / or defects - that force us to find ourselves and the reality of our life ”.

"HUMAN 21"

MUSICAL PIECE CHOREOGRAPHY "DANZA EN EL CAMINO".

"HUMAN 21" has been composed and produced by Daniel Salvador de Madariaga Charro and Iván Diez Álvarez (see bios). The creative union of a conventional musician with a sound artist has allowed us to develop the piece using the usual instrumental, harmonic and melodic tools of a musical composition in conjunction with those developed by a concept of search and genesis of unique and elaborate sounds for creation. of the rhythmic bases, arrangements and harmonic background typical of sound experimentation. The piece attempts to express the current situation of emotional confusion in which each individual and as a society live in the face of the affective effects of the “pandemic disconnection”. We start from an introduction that suggests a bad dream, a nightmare from which we slowly wake up to immerse ourselves in a day-to-day life based on a certain tamed depression that keeps us on a hopeless alert. Emotion in dispute with reason in the face of uncertainty. But as the piece evolves we can see that the message is one of creative resistance, looking for new paths to finally give us the opportunity to reinvent ourselves and always get ahead. The "Human 21" virus will prevail.
